Signo 721 Preset Counter

Hengstler Signo 721 series preset counters are characterised by their broad range of setting options and an easy-to-read large backlit display. They can handle count input frequencies of up to 60Khz for applications where fast count process capability is paramount.

A selection of bright displays are available: black digits on a reflecting background (LCD) or high-visibility white or red illuminated digits on a black background.

A menu-driven display offers ease of programming. Features include up to two SPDT relays (5A @ 250V AC / 30V DC), decimal point positioning up to four places, scaling, NPN or PNP with high or low count input frequencies.

Program the relay outputs as a timed event upon reaching a preset value (0.01s to 599.99s) or latched until reset. The output status is identifiable on the front display; preset symbols illuminate if the outputs are active.

The reset can be automatic, manual or remote; additionally, the front reset button can be disabled upon set-up to prevent accidental operation.

Two separate input channels, A and B, can be used for directional counting; these inputs can also be programmed to accept a phased input from an encoder.

Auxiliary power (12-24V DC @ 50mA max.) when operating from an AC supply is available should you require direct wiring of an encoder or sensor.

Protection class ratings are IP65 (front side); the terminals are IP20. A spring clip that tightens against the panel secures the device to the panel cutout.

A removable plug-in terminal block with screw-type connections to the rear of the counter provides quick initial installation or speedy replacement without re-wiring, saving downtime costs and eliminating installation errors.
